Eureka Reliever Hurt

The news is bad in Eureka. The Sea Dogs have lost the services of reliever Brendan Cellucci for the rest of the season due to a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament. Cellucci was injured in a recent game with the Banff Summits while throwing a pitch and is expected to miss 9-10 months.

Nimmala Gets 5 Hits

It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Arjun Nimmala of the Helena Devils. Nimmala went on a tear at Ballpark of Helena and cracked hit after hit off Walla Walla pitching. When the dust settled on the diamond, the 19-year-old shortstop had a career 5-for-6 day and something he will long remember.
"Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but I don't think I'll tell them we lost," he joked in the BNN postgame interview.
Despite Nimmala's personal accolades, the Walla Walla Wolfpack walked off the field with the 25-22 win.
Arjun Nimmala walked in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Aidan Deakins in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 8th, hit an RBI single in the 8th, was hit by a pitch in the 10th, singled in the 11th and walked in the 12th.
On the year, Nimmala is hitting .410 with 16 hits, 5 home runs, 13 RBIs, .531 OBP and has scored 13 runs.

Red-Hot Diaw Scorches Devils

Walla Walla Wolfpack catcher Khadim Diaw went 5-for-7 and paced the 25-22 Walla Walla victory over the Helena Devils at Ballpark of Helena.
"Well, that was fun," Diaw said, following the game.
Khadim Diaw hit a solo-shot off Mason Miller in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 9th, hit a sac fly in the 9th, hit a solo-shot off Andrew Morones in the 11th and was hit by a pitch in the 12th.
So far this year, Diaw is hitting .447 with 2 home runs.
