Cross Stretches Hit String to 20 Sunday, April 13th , 2025 The Jacksonville Jackals stopped the Pascagoula Crawdads, 6-2, and Gavin Cross collected a base hit yet again. The Jacksonville center fielder finished with 2 hits to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20. "I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited Cross told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Gavin Cross flied out in the 1st, hit a three-run double in the 2nd, flied out in the 5th and singled in the 7th. |
