Baez Boosts Hit Streak to 20 Games
Thursday, September 4th , 2025
Win or lose, Jesus Baez just keeps on getting base hits -- game after game after game. He picked up 2 more today and has now stretched his hitting streak to 20 games.
The Lakewood Legends shortstop went 2-for-4, but it wasn't enough to win the game. His club was defeated, 9-6, by the Auburn Arrows at Arrows Ballpark.
"It's amazing to watch him hit right now, but I don't think anybody's really mentioning it," one of his teammates said. "We just don't want to jinx him." Jesus Baez hit a solo-shot off Daniel Nunan in the 2nd, struck out in the 3rd, singled in the 6th and struck out in the 8th.
This season, Baez is hitting at a .394 pace with 33 home runs, 111 RBIs and has scored 99 times.
