Bang-up Game: Ellis Slams 3 Homers Monday, July 6th , 2026 In a powerful performance that left the fans at Legends Ballpark buzzing, Sarasota Bobcats third baseman Drew Ellis blasted a trio of home runs en route to a win, 12-5, over the Lakewood Legends. "Everything was clicking," Ellis told the press. "My timing was good and I got pitches I could handle and I didn't miss them." Ellis shined brilliantly in the win, with 4 hits in 5 at-bats, 9 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "It's not just one guy, it's everybody," Bobcats manager said. "Drew played great but it takes more than one guy to win a game." Drew Ellis hit a solo-shot off Patrick Forbes in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Patrick Forbes in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Patrick Forbes in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and walked in the 9th.
